What type of pier fishing rod should I get?

I have some fishing experience and I want to fish of an ocean peir. What type of rod/reel combo should I get, and any specific models?

This really depends on your budget?

Pier and Jetty fishing puts a lot of stress on a reel. It’s important to purchase a reel with a reliable reputation. Here are my picks for the cheapest, but of good quality, reel:
