Is it safe to run a power cord behind a refrigerator?

I try to install a cabinet in As part of the CD / radio and found a good place for that, but I would have to run the power cord behind the refrigerator. The fridge slides out of the deck around it, but do not know if this could cause it to heat up or something equally dangerous. So is it safe? Thanks for any help!

Use a good cable and place it near the ground. It is the coolest place in the back of a refrigerator.
