System Only

I have a Panasonic Home Theatre system that has only 1 output jack. Is there a device to hook 2 applinaces up?

Have a 37″ Vizio trying to hook Dish and theatre system up. Only way can do it right now is spliting w/ RCA cables at the TV, but have to unplugg satellite cables to watch movie on dvd. Wonder if there is a splitter or something to help me out.

You need what they call a switcher or av selector. I posted a link to the place where I get all my electronics, they have multiple options available for a switcher.

You should likely go with a switcher or selector of best quality that all of your devices support. For instance if you home theater system supports HDMI as well as your TV, than you should probably look for an HDMI switcher/selector. The most common switcher/selector is RCA/S-Video.

Here is the one that I use in the kid’s bedrooms, so they can have a DVD/Game/Satellite with only one input on the TV.

This one has S-Video and RCA jacks, so you can use the yellow/red/white, or s-video/red/white. Very nice to have.

Now once you have the AV switcher, the output from the satellite will go to one of the inputs on the switcher, and the DVD will go to another input of the switcher, and then your output from the switcher will go to your home theater system. When you want to watch satellite, you select the proper selector on the switch, and vice versa for the DVD. Simple enough.
